Day 2 - A Question...

...for Mr. Gordon's 3rd Physics class at Airdrie Academy.

A ferry leaves Hull and accelerates at 5m\s\s for 10 mins. It then stays at this speed for 10 hours before coming to a highly unlikely immediate stop in Zeebrugge.

How far did the ferry travel?

And how far out from the actual speed (19mph) was it?

Mr Gordon's 3rd year physics class hasn't yet started the Transport unit. However maybe we'll draw a speed/time graph and find out anyway.

God speed lemonauts (again),
